Remembering Ben
The NLMBA Executive and membership offers their sincere condolences to Ben Martin's family. In the picture above is Ben Martin (Left), teammate for several years and friend Walker Godmere (right). Picture is from August 2022.

Ben played for Everett Minor Baseball Association prior to the pandemic, then following the pandemic he registered to play within the NLMBA on the 18U Team. Ben registered with the NLMBA and was involved in baseball within the community for a few years. During the 2024 season, Ben who enjoyed the outdoors and sports, volunteered to be an assistant coach for the New Lowell 11U Team.

Ben played on the 18U Team, contributing to team success by helping New Lowell get to the finals in 2022 in Midland and the semi-finals right here in New Lowell versus Collingwood, during the 2023 season. When Ben played, he played many positions such as pitch, first base, shortstop, third base and center field. The last two seasons that Ben played, he wore jersey number "48" in 2022 and number "12" in 2023. In 2024, he helped Head Coach Phil Pahla with the New Lowell Knights 11U SSMBA Team developing players with their baseball and social skills. Some of his attributes were his calm demeanor, speed, self-discipline and maturity to mention a few.

Executive and Coaches remember him as respectful and considerate always willing to help out in a altruistic manner with diamond improvements, ready to assist with Select Tryouts and simply helping out by getting a team on the field for practice in the spring. Ben's enthusiasm around the diamond and for the game of baseball was infectious.

Ben, you will be missed! Our sincere condolences to Chris, Katie, Rosalyn, Daniel and extended family.
