SSMBA 9U Playoff Tournament
This past weekend 8-10 August, seen the 9U SSMBA Playoff Tournament hosted in Angus in very hot conditions. In the end it was TNT and Wasaga Beach, each with a loss facing off for the final game. In the end Wasaga Beach won the well contested game that was tied, runner at third and a walk off hit that scored the runner from third for the win.
In this game, featured some great hits and stellar defense. Both teams making double plays, great catches and put outs on the bases.
The New Lowell Knights 9U Team finished the year in 6th place out of a 12 Team League. Their first game was against TNT in the A Pool and the Knights lost to the eventual finalists. They played the second game of the playoff tournament and lost to Mansfield.
Ivy and Angus played for the Pool B Championship.
