YSBA - Select Team of the Year
York Simcoe Baseball Association (YSBA) presented their annual awards for 2023 in Barrie 22 October.
During the award ceremony, YSBA awarded several awards to players, coaches, volunteers and teams. Mr. Todd Patton and Mr. Shane Duits, coaches for the U9 Select Team of the New Lowell Minor Baseball Association (NLMBA) received the YSBA Select Team of the Year Award for the 2023 Season from the YSBA President, Steve Koziel at the Liberty North Event Center. Todd and Shane received the award on behalf of the U9 Select Team. This was the inaugural season for a U9 Select Team, which had success at the YSBA Championships, getting the opportunity to compete at the Provincial Championships in Sault Ste. Marie over the Labour Day Weekend achieving a 2 - 2 record. Congratulations to the U9's for their Team success.
